The German Solar Association, as the representative body for the German solar industry, actively participates in the public debate on energy policy. This increasingly applies to international issues as well, since energy policy is no longer made only in Berlin but also in Brussels. In addition, the German Solar Association promotes export and market development for its member companies. In order to achieve these goals, development cooperation projects and international policy advice are increasingly being carried out. The results of these projects in meanwhile more than 30 partner countries also directly benefit the German industry and the domestic market.

The German Solar Association also works closely with the Energy Export Initiative, on whose advisory board it also co-chairs. The Energy Export Initiative, which is based at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Action (BMWK), supports German companies in opening up and developing promising export markets.

For many years we have maintained partnerships with solar and renewable energy associations in around 30 countries, through which we ensure that our member companies have firsthand access to market information. Conversely, we share our many years of expertise in successful association work, especially with young associations abroad that are still in the early stages of their organizational development. The list of our association collaborations abroad can be found here.
