Strong in the Network

The early activation of networks and supporters is essential for results-oriented work on factual issues. For this reason, the German Solar Association has been working successfully for years with other business associations, environmental organisations and national and international umbrella organisations. Thus, in addition to the topic-related work, a daily exchange of news and knowledge is also possible — above all German Solar Association members benefit from this.

Associations Pull Together for Tenant Flow

In order to make the topic of solar tenant electricity known to the public and promote it, German Solar Association has forged an alliance with the Federal Association of German Climate Protection and Energy Agencies (eaD), the German National Tenants’ Association (DMB) and the Federal Association of German Property and Housing Companies (GdW). Together, the association’s managing directors are symbolically pulling in the same direction for the start of the urban energy transition on rental housing!

Intersolar Europe

Intersolar Europe

Since 2008, the German Solar Association has been the exclusive partner of Intersolar Europe, the international solar trade fair held annually in Munich. Since 2018, the exhibition has been held together with its sister events ees Europe, Power2Drive and EM-Power under the umbrella of “The Smarter E”.

The smarter E Europe

The smarter E Europe

The smarter E Europe is Europe’s largest energy industry platform, under the umbrella of which the energy trade fairs Intersolar Europe, Power2Drive, EM-Power and ees Europe take place. The German Solar Association is the exclusive partner of Intersolar Europe and provides conceptual and content-related support to the exhibition organizers.

National collaborations

The German Solar Association maintains further, partly project-related cooperation with the following institutions and companies:

Conexio GmbH

Conexio is a specialized conference organizer and, among other things, hosts the popular “Forum Neue Energiewelt” (New Energy World Forum) in November in Berlin. Conexio also organizes the traditional symposia on photovoltaics and solar thermal energy, which are held every spring at Kloster Banz in Bad Staffelstein, Franconia. We provide ongoing support to Conexio in terms of content and promotion of the events, for which we act as co-organizer and association partner.

eejobs – Jobbörse für erneuerbare Energien

eejobs.de is the job exchange for professionals in the solar industry. Member companies of the association receive a discount when placing job advertisements.

Energy Export Initiative

Exportinitiative Energie

The Energy Export Initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi) supports German companies in establishing and expanding their foreign business. Member companies of our association benefit in concrete terms from the work of the initiative, on whose advisory board we co-chair and thus actively help to shape the strategy in the interests of our companies.

Federation of German Heating Industry (BDH)

Together with the Federation of German Heating Industry (BDH), we collect quarterly market data on the sales of solar thermal collectors. There are also other partnership relationships with the BDH when it comes to the issues of solar thermal energy for hot water and heating.

German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ)

The German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) carries out various projects in emerging and developing countries on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), among others. The German Solar Association supports GIZ there as a project-related partner, for example in questions of solar energy or association development. GIZ is also an important information intermediary and network partner for initiating contacts between German solar companies in target markets abroad.

German Renewable Energy Federation (BEE)

The German Renewable Energy Federation (BEE) is the umbrella organization for all important trade associations in this field. As the German Solar Association, we represent the interests of the solar industry in the executive committee and board and are a member of the BEE.

Renewable Energies Agency (AEE)

Agentur für Erneuerbare Energien

The Renewable Energies Association (AEE) has been working to convince people of the need for the energy transition for many years. The German Solar Association has supported the work of the agency since its foundation and is also involved in the conceptual development of the AEE in the advisory board.

Zentralverband der Deutschen Elektro- und Informationstechnischen Handwerke (ZVEH)

For many years, the Zentralverband der Deutschen Elektro- und Informationstechnischen Handwerke (ZVEH, Association of German Electrical and Information Technology) has been an important contact for the German Solar Association when it comes to technical questions on the subject of photovoltaic and storage systems. Since both associations represent a large number of companies in the respective sectors, joint coordination on questions of content is particularly important. Together with the ZVEH, we have also developed and implemented projects on the subject of quality assurance, such as the photovoltaic system pass and storage pass.
