PV Expansion targets in Germany

After several record years in a row, the PV industry in Germany is well on track to achieve the federal government's expansion targets, provided that the appropriate framework conditions for future PV expansion continue to be created.

Solar power generation expected to overtake lignite

The amount of solar power generated in Germany is expected to overtake total net electricity generation from brown coal – the electricity producer with the highest CO2 emission factor per kWh – in 2025.
